Avoiding Single-Use Plastic

When I shop for groceries I end up with a lot of single-use plastic. Yuk!

It’s hard, but I avoid it whenever possible and you can too.

Below is a picture of the produce I bought last Friday that came unwrapped. When I got home and piled it all up I was very impressed. Wow!

Remember, I took all of this produce out of my reusable canvas bag. Yay!!

Focus on the positive changes you want to make in your life and in the world instead of on the negative aspects of daily living. I read that somewhere and have tried to practice it. For one thing, focusing on the positive makes me happier and for another, it keeps me from being a harpy.

I ask the waitress to bring my drink without the plastic straw. Sometimes I can convince my fellow diners to do the same but if not, I don’t sweat it. Also, I bring my own take-out container to use if I have left overs. I’m the only one I can control. Took me a long time to learn that. The planet is awash in plastic debris. Sometimes this realization makes me a little crazy but the best way to lead others out of the plastic jungle is to be an example.

Make the Creator happy. Avoid single-use plastic.

God is Green!
